The Queer Face of War has been invited to exhibit at some of Europe’s major cultural events, including the official offstage program of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna and World Pride in Amsterdam. I’m also working with Ukrainian partner organizations to mount an exhibition in Kyiv during Pride month.

These are critical opportunities. Ukraine is in one of the most difficult moments of the full-scale war, and as international support shifts, building solidarity across Europe matters more than ever. Around the world, authoritarian movements are increasingly targeting LGBTQ+ communities, and Ukrainian resistance can inspire the broader global movement.

But this tour cannot happen without support. I need to raise $5,000 by May 1 to help cover travel, printing, and exhibition costs. My primary European partner, Germany’s Queer Emergency Aid Ukraine, is raising an additional $8,000 to help make the European part of this tour possible.

A portion of all funds raised will also support direct aid to queer people and women in Ukraine.
